The Gladiator Texas Trail Edition uses the Sport S as its basis, so all the upgrades are built atop the Sport S trim’s impressive standard features. How much value does that Sport S trim offer? A 2023 Jeep Gladiator Sport S has a starting price of $42,570 MSRP,1 and the 2023 Gladiator Texas Trail has a starting price of $48,715 MSRP.1
You can think of the Texas Trail Edition as a way to get the off-road upgrades and luxury features of the high-end Gladiator trims. But with its lower price and Lone Star pride baked into each inch, the Jeep Gladiator Texas Trail offers much more than just that value. And most notably, you can only buy this special model at Jeep dealerships in Texas – San Antonio CDJR is proud to be a member of this party.
How does it start? With mudding. The Jeep Gladiator Texas Trail upgrades the Sport S trim’s standard all-season tires to a beefy set of 32-inch mud-terrain tires, and they wrap around exclusive black-finish 17-inch aluminum wheels. Getting a grip is easy, and if you’re a muddy-trail driver who loves soaking up the sun while getting as dirty as your truck, the Freedom Top removable roof gives you open-air access.
How about some power? You’ll get the same specs as a new Jeep Gladiator for sale in the Sport S trim, namely a 3.6-liter V-6 with 285 horsepower, 260 pound-feet of torque, standard four-wheel drive, and a six-speed manual transmission.
Expect to ride with up to 11.1 inches of ground clearance. Even if you lift it higher with Mopar performance accessories, a set of grippy side steps will help you up, even when covered in mud. And to let everyone know you’re in a special-edition machine, a set of unique decals will proudly display the Texas Trail emblem.
Within the Jeep Gladiator Texas Trail badging, you’ll notice something that ties it all together: “1836” numbering that keeps in mind the Republic of Texas and how it came to be.
The Texas Trail Edition shares its specs with the “normal” Jeep Gladiator towing capacity. Namely, up to 6,500 pounds2 with the available 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 engine and up to 7,700 pounds2 with the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine.
While open-air mudding is a fun way to enjoy your Jeep Gladiator Texas Trail, you may want to keep your interior clean. Why? Because this special edition comes with beautiful leather upholstery throughout its cabin.
