The 2022 Chrysler 300 Features Classic Engines for a Classic Name

The 2022 Chrysler 300 features Dodge’s famous HEMI 5.7-liter V8 that satisfies the need to accelerate fast or feel the torque build as you get to your cruising speed. The 5.7 HEMI V8 delivers 363 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque and gets 16 mpg city/25 mpg highway. Looking for more fuel economy, but still want nimble power? Opt for the 3.6-liter V-6 Pentastar that generates 292 horsepower and 251 lb-ft of torque. Its gas mileage averages 18 mpg city/27 mpg highway. More power from the V-6 can be had by using the paddle shifters on the steering wheel and putting the drive into Sport Mode.

The drivetrains available for the 2022 300 include rear-wheel-drive as standard and all-wheel-drive available only on the V-6. The AWD option allows you to disengage the front-wheel-drive to turn it into a rear-wheel-drive system that delivers tire-burning power at the flick of a switch, then return to AWD when conditions warrant.

Both available engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic with manual shifting mode. The transmission is oil cooled and comes with a towing package, and the 300 can tow up to 1,000 pounds.
