Jeep Compass Among Women Buyers' Top Models

If there's one thing that husbands have learned after thousands and thousands of years' worth of marriages, it's that we should always listen to our wives when it comes to making major life decisions.  In buying a house, women notice small details that men never would, while a man is more likely to just buy something and get it over with.  With cars, similar problems arise, as women look for something practical, reliable, and fuel-efficient, and men just want something sporty and powerful that drives really fast.  Also, if it were red, all the better.

So if we're listening to women, what Chrysler, Dodge, or Jeep vehicle are we most likely to purchase?  Perhaps it's the highly-touted Chrysler 300, or the totally redesigned Jeep Grand Cherokee. San Antonio consumers would be fine buying either, but those aren't the choices a woman would make, according to a study done by TrueCar.com.  No, if it were a woman, we'd be taking home a 2012 Jeep Compass.

According to the TrueCar study, which looked at the genders of people buying all the auto world's most notable models, almost 53% of consumers buying the Compass were women.  It looks a lot like a smaller version of the Grand Cherokee, but it's less expensive, more fuel-efficient, and of course a little bit smaller.  Still, in the eyes of a woman, a crossover like this would be much more preferable than some of the bigger SUVs for the reasons listed above, and if there's one thing we've learned from those thousands and thousands of years' worth of marriages, a woman's opinion is worth more than it's often given credit for.
