Dodge Viper Returns in April

If there's one thing everybody should be able to agree on, it's that the Dodge Viper is one of the coolest vehicles our Chrysler designers have ever brought to fruition. This roadster star of the mid-'90s is the personification of both power and sex appeal, but there hasn't been a new production model since 2010.
That, folks, simply won't do, which is why we're starting to get antsy about the reveal and eventual manufacture of the 2013 model year SRT Viper. We don't know what it looks like yet, but we're starting to see more and more details leak out regarding our sportiest snake of a sports car, and we'd like to share them with our valued and loyal customers.
The 2013 Dodge Viper, which will debut at the New York Auto Show in April, is likely to recycle a few familiar characteristics from the previous generation, but we've also been told that the latest iteration is going to look completely new in a lot of ways. In fact, the word is that the '13 Viper was designed based on the contours of an attractive woman sun-bathing on the beach. That's not a joke. In terms of sex appeal, the Chrysler design team apparently really wanted to make sure they got to the heart of things.
We're also expecting to see a very powerful 8.4-liter direct-injection V10 engine under the hood, though there's also a possibility that there will be a V8 option capable of over 500 hp. Whatever it ends up being, we know that San Antonio Dodge Ram 1500 and Charger and even Dart sales will probably be better than those of the Viper, but we're just happy to have it back in the rotation. It's one of the coolest cars we've ever sold, and we couldn't welcome it back fast enough.
