Chrysler Posts First Annual Profit Since 2009 Bailout

If it feels like the government bailout that saved Chrysler happened only recently, that's because it went down a mere two years ago. That timeline is significant because the Detroit automaker is already back on its feet, officially pulling in a profit for the first time since the government bailouts in 2009.
To say that we here at San Antonio Dodge Chrysler Jeep are ecstatic about that is an understatement. For a long time, a lot of pundits counted our world-class brands as down and out, but through the complete redesign of several iconic vehicles, including the Jeep Grand Cherokee and new Chrysler 200, we've proven that we're back, baby, and better than ever.
We're not just talking about a $20 profit here, either. For the whole of 2011, Chrysler yanked in $183 million profit on $55 billion worth of revenue. Compared to a year ago, when the final posting was a $652 million loss, we can't help but be excited at the outlook of our business moving forward. Those 2010 numbers are harsh, but that was in the midst of getting our ducks in a row for a resurgence. With the success of our new vehicles and obviously strong customer response to the strong return of the brand, we feel like the sky's the limit for us.
For those looking for a Chrysler 200 or Jeep Grand Cherokee, San Antonio has no better dealership than our own, so stop on buy to test drive any of our vehicles and maybe, just maybe, help 2012 be another strong year for Chrysler.
