Chrysler Has Best Month In Four Years

Look, 2008 scared a lot of us. Financially, it was one of the most frightening years a lot of folks have experienced in a very long time, and it's taken almost half a decade for the country to get back on track. But get back on track we have, as the first quarter of 2012 proved to be one of the best quarters Wall Street has seen in quite a while. The auto industry has helped fuel that resurgence, and Chrysler has been right at the fore of that financial rejuvenation.
Let's just take the month of March, for example, which proved to be the best month we Chrysler dealerships have seen in four years. Yes, folks, it was 2008 the last time we sold this many cars, but we did quite well in March with a special nod to both the Chrysler 200 and 300 sedans and the compact Fiat 500. In all, our March sales were up 34% from March of 2011, and we'll take that as a really good sign for what's to come the rest of the year, as well.
So far, in 2012 Chrysler 200 sales in San Antonio have been excellent, but worldwide sales are up a whopping 50% for both it and the 300. The Jeep Grand Cherokee has helped boost Jeep's sales 36%, as well, giving us a more successful month of March than any other automaker out there.
We've come a long way from those scary days of 2008, and we're hoping we hear the word "recession" less and less moving forward. We're also hoping April is just as good as March, and heck, why not hope for a great rest of 2012 while we're at it?
